Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was injured during the second quarter of today's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Tagovailoa was sacked by Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson and immediately went down in pain. He was taken off the field on a stretcher and transported to a local hospital.
According to the Dolphins, Tagovailoa was released from the hospital after undergoing tests and is expected to make a full recovery. The team has not yet announced whether Tagovailoa will be able to play in the Dolphins' next game.
Tagovailoa has been one of the most impressive quarterbacks in the NFL this season, leading the Dolphins to a 9-3 record. He has thrown for 2,180 yards and 19 touchdowns, with just three interceptions.
The Dolphins are scheduled to play the New York Jets next week. If Tagovailoa is unable to play, backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will likely start in his place.
